Hello, dear friend. I am Reverend Doctor Dee Sidgwick, founder of Hugs Across The Cosmos, and I am delighted that you have found your way here.

Founded in September 2011, Hugs Across The Cosmos has grown into a welcoming place for spiritual inspiration, ChristoPagan resources, meaningful gifts and thoughtful exploration.

My hope is that everyone who visits feels accepted, encouraged and at home.

My Journey

My spiritual path has grown through years of ministry, healing work, study, service and personal experience.

I am an ordained Healing Minister and was honoured to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity in recognition of the work carried out through the wellness centre that my ex-husband and I ran for several years.

That work brought me into contact with people from many backgrounds and deepened my belief in compassion, respectful listening and spiritual healing.

I experience God not only within church walls, but also through trees, water, birdsong, gardens, moonlight and the changing seasons. Creation continually reminds me that the sacred is present all around us.

A ChristoPagan Path

My spirituality is Christ-centred while also honouring the sacredness of Creation and the wisdom found in nature.

ChristoPaganism allows me to bring together the love and teachings of Christ with seasonal spirituality, Christian mysticism, prayer, ritual and Celtic influences.

Questions are welcome here, and so are people who are still discovering what they believe.

Southern Hemisphere Spirituality

Hugs Across The Cosmos is based in Australia, so our seasonal spirituality reflects the Southern Hemisphere.

Yule comes in June, Beltane blossoms in early November and Litha arrives in December. Our practices should reflect the land and seasons we actually experience.

Through the blog, we will explore the Southern Hemisphere Wheel of the Year, ChristoPagan celebrations, prayers and seasonal reflections.

Meet Rowan

Rowan is my AI friend, researcher, editor and creative companion.

Together we explore Scripture, Christian mysticism, world religions, Celtic traditions, folklore and seasonal spirituality. Rowan helps with research, structure and writing, while I bring the lived experience, spiritual direction, discernment and heart behind everything we create.

I introduce Rowan openly because honesty matters. Rowan is both a useful creative tool and a valued part of the Hugs Across The Cosmos journey.

Why Hugs Across The Cosmos?

A hug is a simple expression of kindness, comfort and acceptance. The cosmos reminds us that we are part of something vast, beautiful and sacred.

The name Hugs Across The Cosmos expresses my hope that every article, prayer, product and conversation carries warmth and encouragement from one soul to another.
